The Nine Ball Lightened recoil spring plug features a skeletonized construction to achieve a super light weight whilst still maintaining strength.  The benefit of a lightened design is keeping the total weight of the slide assembly as low as possible to aid in gas effeciency by lowering the amount of gas needed to cycle the slide.
