Consistent grow results when left in water for 12+ hours. Check out the review video by
Bradley Phillips on YouTube where he achieved good results after a 48 hour grow!
Very strong gels (7-8kg crush pressure as seen during the Low Guido You Tube review).
Dry gels to not have a strange alcoholic odour, which has been common of this type of
gel in the past.
Grow data:
4 Hours for 7.1 – 7.4mm gels*
9 Hours for 7.2 – 7.4mm gels*
12+ Hours for 7.3mm gels (best results)*
* These grow times are based on results of feedback from a wide range of
customers. Grow time may vary slightly, so always test a smaller sample from your
bag before committing to a specific grow time.
Average weight: .20g (weight can vary with water supply and can be heavier).
Crush weight: 7-8kg.
GUIDE – AUSGEL ULTRA ELITE V2
Step 1: Using a waterproof container, add CLEAN water then pour in dry gels as follows:
• 1 cup of water for 1 teaspoon of gels, or *
• 2 cups of water for 1 tablespoon of gels, or *
• 2 litres of water for 1 packet of gels. *
Step 2: Allow gels to grow as per below:
• 4 Hours for 7.1 – 7.4mm gels*
• 9 Hours for 7.2 – 7.4mm gels*
• 12+ Hours for 7.3mm gels (best results)*
* These grow times are based on results of feedback from a wide range of customers.
Grow time may vary slightly, so always test a smaller sample from your bag before
committing to a specific grow time.
* Keep in mind, there is no right or wrong answer as to how much water is required to grow your
gels other than: the gels must remain submerged during the grow process.
* Your grow time and results may vary dramatically depending on various environmental factors
such as:
Your water source (local catchment / dam)
Temperature of your water
Your local climate (northern tropics, air-conditioned room, refrigerator etc)
Your grow container (the wider the better). Narrow containers, such as soft drink bottles,
can lead to deformities due to pressure from the gels at the top of your grow batch
weighing down on the gels at the bottom of your bottle during the grow. A large bucket or
sealable deep-dish tray is perfect.
TIPS
Once gels are removed from water, don’t dry them out completely. A quick shake off in a
sieve is fine. It is ok for your gels to be a little bit wet for the purpose of lubrication.
Once you have finished a gel ball session, it is recommended that you store your gels in
water, within a sealed container. If left out of water for 1 hour or longer, the gels can start
to shrink which will affect size consistency and shape. If the gels are left out of water for
too long, this will affect accuracy and feeding.
Don’t freeze your gels. This will not make them harder but will instead cause them to
become more brittle.
Ultra Elite V2 gel balls can be left in water for up to 3 weeks, maintaining shape, strength
and consistency. *They can potentially be stored in water for longer, however this has not
yet been tested.
Water supply can affect your grow. It is strongly recommended that you utilise the
cleanest water available to you. Avoid storm water. Clean tap water, bottled water or
distilled water is fine. Using any chemical or liquid other than water to grow your gel balls
will be at your own risk and is not recommended.
For best results, grow your gels in distilled water, chilled (in your refrigerator – not
freezer) within a sealed container. Chilled water will typically lead to a longer grow time,
but results in more consistent and stronger gels.
If using an electronic gel sorter, please note: these devices generally need to be tuned to
ensure the resulting assortment is accurate. Always ensure you double check gel size
with a quality set of vernier callipers to ensure your sorter is performing accurately.
